What is your life’s mission?
I never thought about my work as my life’s mission. All I ever wanted to do was to make an impact onto society. When I realized that it was harder to get My Amendment off the ground, I decided to give out the leather bands to people I thought would benefit from it.
Now, I get calls from the recipients whom have called to tell me what an impact I have had with their lives. I am incredibly thrilled by the reaction. I hear that they wear the leather bracelets every day and that they will always remember what I did for them. Honestly, I feel like I haven’t done much at all.
The experience of developing My Amendment was so humbling. I came from a big shot position where I thought I would make the biggest impact on the world. After launching My Amendment, I realized that the biggest impact was really about every single small impact that my work had on others. It wasn’t about the glory and the fame but reading about each and every single person’s journey as if it was my very own.
Now that 2017 is coming around the corner, what are you waiting for? What will be your first My Amendment?
Happy Holidays and I wish all of you the very best in life.
